During the past years, Issy has successfully implemented a proactive strategy of innovation. Today, the City has become a national reference as regards its economic dynamism and its exemplary use of ICT.
Issy policy to digital inclusion relies on a combination of various instruments addressing different problems related to the digital divide: access to broadband, affordable access to hardware, training seminars for all age groups, but also fostering the motivation of the citizens to use ICT by showing the direct benefits in various fields of their daily life.
Today, with more than 95% of inhabitants connected to the Internet - most of them through ADSL or FTTH - Issy has one of the most important penetration rate in France (the national average is 63%).
The digital technology revolution has increasingly transformed our lives. It now turns our cities to adapt them to the challenges of tomorrow. But it can also help to promote our history and culture. Ever since the adoption of the Local Information Plan, Issy has initiated and successfully implemented numerous initiatives which prove their efficiency and sustainability over time.
