Issy-les-Moulineaux is well served by the public transport networks of Paris and its region, with two metro (underground/subway) stations, three tram stations, two RER stations and ten bus lines. This large choice of transport solutions makes it possible to reach the centre of Paris in less than 20 minutes and the airports of Paris and mainline railway stations in less than one hour.

Planned:
- Extension of the T2 tramway towards Porte de Versailles The extension of the T2 tramway between Issy Val de Seine and Porte de Versailles aims to meet an urban network challenge in an area which has a high level of economic activity, but which is very poorly served by the public transport network on the part of the commune which touches Paris. The T2 Porte de Versailles tramway will ensure a good link to the existing public transport network and will serve almost 33,000 inhabitants and jobs. The opening date is set for June 2009.
- Creation of a cable car between the town centre and the Digital Fortress At present, the municipal authorities are conducting a feasibility study into the installation of a cable car to cover the 830 metres between the Mairie d’Issy metro station and the Fortress District, lying at an altitude of 90 metres. This project is designed to prevent an increase in the amount of traffic resulting from the conversion of the Fortress into a residential and digital district. An innovative project in an urban area, this infrastructure benefits from the sure-fire reliability of teleported systems, whilst also offering a panoramic view of the city.
